This fall, Miami Beach’s Dolly and Oz Presents will spotlight the magnetic vision of photographer Lyall Aston in his first solo exhibition, Here You Go. Opening October 8, 2025, the show presents more than 15 new works alongside curated selections from Aston’s earlier collections, weaving together light, memory, and modern culture in ways that are both intimate and provocative. The exhibition will be on view through November 16.
A Journey Through Light and Landscape
Internationally acclaimed for his mastery of dramatic lighting and his ability to transform landscapes into dreamlike reflections, Aston draws inspiration from a life lived across continents—Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Now based between Miami and New York, he channels this nomadic spirit into works that feel at once deeply personal and universally resonant.
Here You Go traces the edges of memory, pop culture, and social media’s ever-evolving influence. The images balance emotional intensity with editorial polish, inviting viewers to reflect on fleeting moments of joy and the shifting identities that define life in the 21st century.
“Each piece is a different conversation with myself,” Aston shares. “This collection represents my personal journey through a time of rapid evolution—both in the world and within myself.”
A Showcase of Past and Present
While the exhibition unveils Aston’s latest creations, it also revisits pivotal earlier series. Highlights include:
Post Chaste, a black-and-white meditation on the sacred versus the sensual, featuring Benedictions of the Unholy and Veils of Dissent.
The Sea Inside, a limited collection of works that drift between waking and dreaming, with pieces like Liminal Space, Insomniac’s Ebb, and Fugue State.
All The King’s Men, Aston’s striking homage to London’s King’s Guard at Westminster, capturing tradition with documentary precision.
Together, these works form a sweeping narrative that bridges Aston’s artistic evolution with his current voice.
