Miami culture lovers have a good reason to head west this fall: the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has announced that GRAMMY Award–winning artist Doja Cat will be the musical guest at the 2025 Art+Film Gala, taking place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Los Angeles. This year’s event will honor artist Mary Corse and filmmaker Ryan Coogler, and will be co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The gala continues its longstanding partnership with Gucci, which serves as the presenting sponsor.
“The Art+Film Gala has hosted an incredible range of musical talent over the past 14 years,” said Eva Chow. “Doja Cat is a boundary-breaking creative force who will bring her incomparable energy to the evening.”
Doja Cat, one of today’s most influential voices in music, has become a global pop icon with multiple chart-topping albums, billions of streams, and a reputation for bold, boundary-pushing artistry. Her career highlights include multi-platinum hits such as “Say So,” “Kiss Me More” with SZA, and “Woman.” She has earned one GRAMMY, five American Music Awards, and five Billboard Music Awards, and was named to the TIME100 list of Most Influential People in 2023. Her fifth studio album, Vie (2025), showcases a mix of ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s influences blended with her signature modern style.
The Art+Film Gala, now in its 15th year, raises funds to support LACMA’s film initiatives and the museum’s broader mission, including exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming. In 2024, the gala honored Simone Leigh and Baz Luhrmann and featured a performance by Charli XCX, raising $6.4 million for the museum.
