Desert X Hosts A Celebration For Upcoming 2023 Exhibition
Susan Davis, President and Founder of Desert X, the site-specific, contemporary art exhibition held in the Coachella Valley, welcomed guests to an invitation-only Sunset Reception at Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club in Miami Beach on Thursday, December 1 during Miami Art Week.
Desert X board members, artists, and VIPs from around the globe gathered in celebration of the upcoming Desert X 2023 exhibition, which will be held March 4 to May 7 in Palm Springs.
Davis and Desert X Executive Director Jenny Gil hosted guests including independent curator and board member Zoe Lukov, founder of the non-profit organization Art in Common and producer of Desert X documentary DX21 – The Film; founding director of the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Jérôme Sans; communications executive David Resnicow; art patrons Princess Alia Al-Senussi and Lauren Taschen; Ladygunn Digital Director Mateo Palacio; Nicodim Gallery’s Ben Lee Ritchie Handler with artists Nicolette Mishkan and Devin B. Johnson; Glass House Deputy Director Scott Drevnig; Bravo TV’s Real Housewives of Miami star Guerdy Abraira; Bravo TV’s Family Karma stars Vishal Parvani, Richa Sadana, Amrit Kapai, and Avni Parekh; Florida State Representative Fabian Basabe; and artists Allison Eden, Janine Antoni, Orlando Estrada and Typoe Gran.
The mission of Desert X is to create and present international contemporary art exhibitions that engage with desert environments through site-specific installations by acclaimed artists from around the world. Desert X 2023 will be curated by Desert X Artistic Director Neville Wakefield and Co-Curator Diana Campbell. The exhibition will take place from March 4 to May 7, 2023 in the Coachella Valley of Southern California
