DCOTA Welcomes 300+ Professional Designers and Enthusiasts to WINTER MARKET 2024

Updated: Mar 14

The Design Center of the Americas welcomes more than 300 professional designers and design enthusiasts to its annual WINTER MARKET, a day-long convergence of creativity, innovation, and inspiration. The theme for the March 6 event was “Colors, Textures and Forms” that are redefining the boundaries of design excellence.

‘This year’s WINTER MARKET was an extraordinary success as it presented a world where every shade, texture, and form tell a story, where possibilities are limitless and creativity knows no bounds,” said Federico Diaz, DCOTA’s Director of Digital Marketing. “From morning keynotes with industry visionaries to afternoon panel discussions that explored the tactile elegance of design, this event sparked exciting new ideas and ignited every imagination.”

Attendees were welcomed by DCOTA owner Charles S. Cohen before the first panel discussion “Celebrating the Trinity of Design,” moderated by Jennifer Pfaff Smith, Homes Editor at Luxe Interior + Design Magazine. Participant designers included Helen Bergin, Anil Kakar, Christopher Coleman, and John Robshaw.

The afternoon panel—“Vibrant Vistas: Harnessing the Colors and Textures of Brazilian Design”—was moderated by Daphne Nikolopoulos, Editorial Director of Florida Design Magazine, and featured celebrated South Florida designers Luciana Fragali, Andre Wanderley, Carla Guilhem, and Paula Ambrosio.

One highlight of the event was the soft opening of DCOTA’s newest luxury showroom, MADEVAL, with a chat between Federico Teran and Phyllis Taylor on emerging trends in kitchen design that break away from traditional norms to embrace bold, captivating, and modern designs.

Additional panel discussions were held in the AMMON HICKSON, ROMO, and DAVID SUTHERLAND showrooms.

WINTER MARKET is always the perfect opportunity for designers to discover the latest trends, forge new connections, and celebrate the artistry of design with like-minded professionals,” added Federico Diaz.

For both ease and experience, DCOTA offers valet parking and dedicated parking for designers.
