DCOTA Names Jorge Berrios as Director of Design Services




The Design Center of the Americas welcomes Jorge Berrios as its new Director of Design Services. He brings nearly a decade of wide-ranging experience in high end interior design working with several of South Florida’s leading commercial, residential and hospitality design firms.

 

“Legacy, prestige, and unlimited potential describe DCOTA’s unique appeal to professional designers, design enthusiasts, nontrade visitors, and the public,” says Berrios. “My goal is to offer constant and fluid communications with our clients to make the purchasing process smooth from beginning to end.”

 

At DCOTA, he will work with numerous luxury showrooms to provide a cohesive, elevated level of service, while optimizing the effectiveness of DCOTA’s Shop the Building Program to offer exceptional value to both design partners and end users. In addition, Berrios will manage the DCOTA Select Showroom and act as a liaison between DCOTA and South Florida’s professional design community.

 

Previously, Berrios served as Senior Interior Designer at Adriana Hoyos Design Studio in Coral Gables, Florida, where he managed and supervised residential and commercial projects from the critical pre-design phase through construction and final furnishing creating functional, sophisticated and timeless design experiences for prestigious clients.

 

He also worked as Director/Chief Design Officer for Miami’s Keuken Design & Services, which specializes in great and unique millwork designs from Europe; as a Designer for 4141 Design Group in Miami’s Design District and at Brito Design Studio, where he assisted in all aspects of design and renovations for residential and commercial projects both in and outside of Miami. Berrios earned his BFA in Interior Design from the Miami International University of Art & Design, and a postgraduate diploma in architecture from American University in Managua, Nicaragua.
