DCOTA Names Federico Diaz as Director of Marketing

The Design Center of the Americas welcomes Federico Diaz as Director of Marketing. In his new position, he will oversee all marketing efforts—print, broadcast, and digital—for the entire DCOTA Campus, including nearly 40 prestigious showrooms representing premier manufacturers from around the world, as well as Le Méridien Dania Beach, the new luxury hotel that opened a couple of years ago.

A results-oriented professional with 15+ years of work experience in business development, client relationship management, and competitive market analysis throughout the United States and the Caribbean, Diaz brings to DCOTA a variety of impressive skills learned in previous positions: Marketing & Business Development Executive at Miami-based Laminates and Things; Business Development Manager for the Hertz Corporation, where he spearheaded negotiations with both Tesla and the Hard Rock Hotel; Director of Regional Sale for Florida’s Hardware Concepts; and Regional Sales Manager for Vima Dominicana in Santo Domingo, where he earned his B.S. in Marketing from the Pontifica Universidad Catolica Madre Y Maestra.

“I am excited about joining the talented team at DCOTA,” says Diaz. “I have always admired and appreciated the Design Center and the leadership role it plays in the design industry, both regionally and throughout the hemisphere. I’m looking forward to supporting all of the magnificent showrooms in raising awareness of current and upcoming design trends, while assisting them in showcasing their latest upscale launches.”

In his new position, Diaz will work with the marketing team at the other three Cohen Design Centers nationwide—Manhattan, Southern California, and Houston—as well as with Anel De Castro, DCOTA’s Director of Design Services, to optimize the effectiveness of its proprietary Designer Referral Program that offers exceptional value to both design partners and end users.
