DCOTA Names Eyla Herrera as Director of Marketing 

The Design Center of the Americas welcomes Eyla Herrera as Director of Marketing. In her new position, she will oversee all marketing efforts—print, broadcast, and digital—for DCOTA, including nearly 40 prestigious showrooms representing premier manufacturers from around the world. 

Herrera comes to DCOTA with nearly a decade of professional experience in social media across multiple platforms, B2B marketing, print and digital advertising, website development, and e-commerce management. Her most recent position was Marketing Manager & Public Relations for Miami’s VONN Lighting, promoting a great selection of innovative LED lighting for both residential and commercial applications. 

Previously, Herrera worked as a staff recruiter and in social media management for the Self Made Marketing Group in Miami, and in product development and production at Grupo Palmer, C.A. in Carabobo, Venezuela, where she earned a bachelor’s in marketing at Universidad Jose Antonio Paez. 

“I am excited about joining the talented team at DCOTA,” says Herrera. “I have always admired and appreciated the Design Center and the leadership role it plays within the design industry, both regionally and throughout the hemisphere. I’m looking forward to supporting all of the extraordinary showrooms in raising awareness of current and upcoming design trends, while assisting them in showcasing their latest upscale launches.” 

In her new position, Herrera will work with the marketing team at the other three Cohen Design Centers nationwide—Manhattan, Southern California, and Houston—as well as with Jorge Berrios, DCOTA’s Director of Design Services, to optimize the effectiveness of its proprietary Designer Referral Program that offers exceptional value to both design partners and end users.
