On Friday, October 23, from 7 to 7:45 p.m., Miami's iconic Hoy Como Ayer will debut CULTURA POPULAR, a new monthly live discussion series bringing together some of Latin music's most influential voices to explore the sounds and stories that have shaped generations. The series invites guests to discover the history behind their favorite rhythms before hitting the dance floor for the venue's signature Latin Fever Fridays celebration.

The first installment, Volume 1: Salsa Evolution, will trace salsa's journey from its neighborhood roots to a worldwide phenomenon, featuring an impressive lineup of industry heavyweights. Panelists include Omer Pardillo-Cid, GRAMMY, Latin GRAMMY and Emmy-winning producer and former manager of the legendary Celia Cruz; Motiff, multi-platinum producer, songwriter and creator of the SALSA DE AHORA documentary series; and Claudio Pairot, CEO and founder of Puntilla Music

Conceived and curated by award-winning music journalist Leonor C. Suárez in partnership with Hoy Como Ayer Music Director DJ Cucu, CULTURA POPULAR celebrates Latin music's rich heritage while connecting Miami's music community with the voices shaping its future. The series finds a fitting home at Hoy Como Ayer, a Little Havana institution that has welcomed music legends including Celia Cruz, Willy Chirino and Marc Anthony, continuing the venue's longstanding tradition of celebrating Latin music and culture.
