Community Philanthropy Making A Difference For Memorial Healthcare System Patients And Families
Brett Rose and Kevin Janser, the board chair and president of the Memorial and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundations, recently presented a check for $15 million to South Broward Hospital District commissioners. The dollars were raised by the nonprofit organizations during capital campaigns for the construction of the Memorial Cancer Institute and expansion of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. It is the most recent payment made by the foundations to support programs, services, and facilities within Memorial Healthcare System.

“The contributions from our donors have had an immense and meaningful impact, and we feel honored to be beneficiaries of their kindness and goodwill,” said Janser.
In the past five years, fundraising efforts by Memorial’s foundations have raised $107 million, including $56 million to assist the four-story expansion of the children’s hospital.
