Coconut Grove BID Offers Variety of Events This Week and Weekend for the Whole Family to Enjoy!

Halloween is almost here and the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District knows how to celebrate in style! From October 24 through October 26, the Grove is offering events for folks of all ages to enjoy. Kicking off the BID’s spooky season is the Plastic is Scary Cleanup + Costume Swap this Thursday, October 24 from 4-6 p.m.

Sponsored by Debris Free Ocean, the Plastic is Scary Cleanup at Peacock Park is a fun and festive way to give back to the community. After the cleanup, guests are invited to exchange their gently-used Halloween costumes, clothes, shoes and accessories by participating in the Grove’s first-ever costume swap - so no need to buy Halloween costumes this year (that just go to waste after one use). Enjoy this eco-friendly opportunity to give back and get a new costume for free! To register, guests can get their free ticket here.

Next on the BID’s list of events this week is the “Days to Shine” show taking place on October 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. at The Hangar at Regatta Harbor. After five successful events in the Dominican Republic, Days to Shine is proud to be in Miami hosting this  fun event focused on  women. Guests can look forward to conferences and masterclasses with experts such as Ismael Cala, Pilar Sordo, Francisca, Luz María Doria and many more, all focused on the empowering message of ‘Love yourself’. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the Celebrity Balayage Masterclass by Enrique Guzmán. There will also be expansive networking and brand activation opportunities, as well as entertainment and shopping! Ticket prices range and can be found online here along with daily schedules.

Lastly, if you’re looking for a FREE family-friendly activity that the whole family will love this weekend, look no further! In partnership with Cinépolis Cinema, Coconut Grove is hosting a magical Halloween evening with a special screening of Hocus Pocus under the stars on October 26 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. at Peacock Park. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with an exciting lineup of activities – including storytelling by Books & Books, face painting, live music, and kids' entertainment. There will also be a costume contest and raffles, with amazing gift cards from local businesses up for grabs. Secure your free spot online here.

No need to fear this Halloween because the Coconut Grove BID is providing all types of treats for everyone to enjoy! To learn more about the Coconut Grove BID or to see other upcoming events, visit their website at coconutgrove.com.
