Churchill Downs Spring Meet Highlights Teacher and Senior Days Plus 2027 Derby Ticket Update

Churchill Downs is continuing its Spring Meet schedule with evening and weekend racing, special appreciation days for teachers and seniors, and early ticket opportunities for the 2027 Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby.
The week’s racing program features Twilight Thursday, which offers evening racing in an after-work setting, and Stephen Foster Preview Day, where fans can see contenders for one of the track’s key summer stakes events beneath the Twin Spires.
Teacher Appreciation Day will be held on Thursday, June 4, with gates opening at 4:00 p.m. and first post at 5:00 p.m. Local educators are invited to experience Millionaires' Row for $50 by calling 502-636-4450. Senior Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, with gates opening at 11:30 a.m. and first post at 12:45 p.m., and will include live racing and stakes action aligned with Stephen Foster Preview Day.
