Renowned sushi chef Wei Chen is bringing his acclaimed omakase concept, Omawei, to The Bath Club in Miami starting this October. Known for its intimate, high-end culinary experiences, Omawei will debut as a 10-seat, 16-course Edomae-style sushi journey at the historic oceanfront social club, marking the first time The Bath Club opens its doors to the public for a dining experience.
Chef Wei Chen’s Omawei is a roving, exploratory concept that blends traditional Japanese techniques with modern flair. Each curated omakase menu showcases seasonal, premium ingredients and a meticulous attention to detail, offering guests a rare and personal encounter with sushi mastery.
Reservations for Omawei at The Bath Club are now available exclusively through OpenTable.
Chef Wei’s culinary journey began in New York City, shaped by years of experience at top establishments including Neta, 15 East, and Shuko. His craft was honed under sushi legend Daisuke Nakazawa—a protégé of Jiro Ono—at Sushi Nakazawa, where Wei spent eight years perfecting the art of Edomae sushi.

The name Omawei combines “omakase” and “Wei,” embodying his personal interpretation of the traditional Japanese dining format. The concept previously appeared at The Peninsula Beverly Hills and Montage Big Sky, where it was praised for both its culinary precision and immersive setting.
With its arrival at The Bath Club—a historic Miami landmark dating back to the 1920s—Omawei offers locals and visitors a unique opportunity to experience one of the country’s most refined omakase dinners, set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
