Chef Adrianne’s Newest Concept to Open on Miracle Mile in April 2021

Chef Adrianne Calvo, the young star chef who is best known for delivering her Maximum Flavor culinary concepts around South Florida, announces the launch of her newest endeavor, Forte by Chef Adrianne.

Slated for an April 2021 reveal on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Forte will offer guests an exceptional Italian experience that pays homage to Calvo’s mother by bearing her maiden name. Forte will mark Chef Adrianne’s third restaurant opening amid the pandemic, on record as one of the industry’s most challenging years in history with a loss of $230 billion in total sales.

The origins of the surname Forte can first be found in Ferrara, a city and commune in Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy, where her mother’s Sicilian relatives migrated. Emilia-Romagna is also the birthplace of some of the ingredients commonly associated with Italian cuisine such as prosciutto, mortadella, partigiano, and balsamic vinegar, all of which will influence Forte’s menu.

Forte’s menu will juxtapose generations-old traditions with modern techniques to bring the “best of Italy” to the table a la Calvo’s Maximum Flavor. Guests at Forte will be virtually transported to a veritable Tuscan Villa replete with rustic design, sunflowers, home-made focaccia, and traditional desserts. Authentic indulgences include fresh tomatoes sourced directly from Italy and scratch Italian cocktails.

In addition to Forte, Chef Adrianne is also the creative force behind other local favorites like Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant & Wine Bar, Redfish by Chef Adrianne, and the fine-casual concept, Cracked by Chef Adrianne. Calvo’s dedication to growth spans beyond her impressive lineup of restaurants and scaling her business has always been a dream. She is currently completing her second year at the prestigious Harvard Business School and is committed to ensuring that her loyal fans continue to receive the homegrown hospitality and Maximum Flavor they have come to know, expect, and love.

“Opening two restaurants in 2020, a time when my industry has seen the worst of its days is nothing short of a blessing,” says Calvo. “I feel fortunate to keep my team employed while creating new jobs, and I’m delighted to be able to bring my loyal guests something new within the comforts of flavors and service they know. From continuing education in a university setting, to my relentless efforts to travel, see and taste firsthand, I approach my business growth the way I do my growth as a chef —armed with all the knowledge I need to put forth the best product possible.”

In partnership with the Barreto Group, who also share in her popular seafood eatery Redfish, Forte will occupy the former Cibo Wine Bar space at 45 Miracle Mile and will seat 260 guests between its indoor and outdoor dining areas.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Chef Adrianne again,” said Rodney Baretto, Chairman and CEO of Barreto Hospitality. “We have developed several projects with Chef Adrianne over the course of the past year. Watching her build Redfish and seeing how hands-on and passionate she is, truly makes her an ideal partner. We are excited about what the future holds.”
