Casa Dragones Returns to Art Basel Miami Beach with a Larger Presence as the Official Agave Spirits Partner
Casa Dragones, the acclaimed small-batch, ultra-premium tequila co-founded by CEO Bertha González Nieves, proudly enters its fourth year as the Official Agave Spirits Partner of Art Basel Miami Beach (Dec 6-8), furthering its commitment to contemporary art, innovative design, and Mexican craftsmanship. Distinguished as the exclusive agave spirit partner, Casa Dragones stands among other luxury brands UBS, BMW, and Audemars Piguet.
Within the Art Basel Miami Beach Collectors Lounge, home to art and interactive experiences, Casa Dragones introduces “Quiote Bar”—a bespoke tasting room masterfully designed by Gloria Cortina, one of Mexico’s leading designers. Inspired by Casa Dragones’ award-winning Tasting Room in the historic heart of San Miguel de Allende, Cortina’s design integrates organic elements drawn from Casa Dragones’ agave fields into an eco-conscious, museum-like space.

Drawing inspiration from the quiote—the towering, elegant bloom that emerges from the agave’s heart—each wall will feature a sculptural form inspired by this natural marvel, branching into artful display cases. These cases will showcase Casa Dragones’ entire Joven Artist Edition collection together for the first time, with each bottle representing a collaboration with renowned artists, including Gabriel Orozco, Danh Vo, Pedro Reyes, and Petrit Halilaj—whose latest works are currently on view at institutions like The Met and Kurimanzutto in New York. Each edition embodies the craftsmanship and heritage that lie at the core of Casa Dragones.
“It is an honor to continue our partnership with Art Basel Miami Beach and collaborate with our dear friend Gloria Cortina to create a space that encapsulates our Artist Edition collection. Each bottle in this series embodies the unique relationships and shared dedication to craftsmanship,” says Bertha González Nieves. She adds, “This exhibition is not just a display, but a celebration of the connections and creative expressions that inspire us, honoring craftsmanship with the same reverence we bring to every bottle we produce.”
For the first time, Casa Dragones also opens its highly anticipated “Art-Tender” series to the public, introducing a dedicated space on the showfloor. Set beneath a stunning 500-bottle chandelier designed by renowned Mexican architect Tatiana Bilbao, the Art-Tender series invites prominent art-world luminaries—including Tavares Strachan, Mario Garcia Torres, Leilah Babirye, and Wilfredo Prieto—to serve as guest mixologists, crafting cocktails inspired by their artistic practice. This interactive experience seamlessly blends creativity and mixology, providing a unique glimpse into Casa Dragones' devotion to both artistry and hospitality. The Art-Tender schedule will be available on casadragones.com and through Art Basel Miami Beach’s event listings, offering attendees the opportunity to enjoy a rotating lineup of artists, each presenting a cocktail that reflects their personal artistic vision.
As an additional highlight, Casa Dragones unveils the exclusive Collector’s Cup at Art Basel Miami Beach, a limited-edition bespoke design by celebrated artist Petrit Halilaj. This special, recyclable cup will be available to purchase throughout the fair with the purchase of the Signature Cocktail. Proceeds will benefit Hajde Foundation personally selected by Halilaj, which supports art and culture in the artist's hometown, Kosovo furthermore underscoring Casa Dragones’ commitment to championing causes close to the hearts of the artists they partner with.
Throughout Art Basel Miami Beach, Casa Dragones will be the sole tequila brand served across all fair locations, including the fair’s official bars and VIP events, as well as at the city’s most sought-after parties, bars, and dining hotspots, bringing the Casa Dragones experience to the heart of the art world’s most prestigious gathering.

MORE ON CASA DRAGONES
Founded and led by CEO Bertha González Nieves, the first female Maestra Tequilera, Tequila Casa Dragones is a small batch producer known for its ultra-premium sipping tequilas. Launched in 2009 in Mexico, Casa Dragones has four uniquely smooth tequila expressions. Casa Dragones Joven has a complex, smooth taste that is perfect for sipping and pairing with food, while Casa Dragones Blanco’s crisp, agave-forward taste is perfect for craft cocktails and on the rocks. Casa Dragones Añejo Barrel Blend is the result of aging their tequila in two styles of new wood casks, then blending to achieve its distinctive, rich character. Their most recent expression, Casa Dragones Mizunara, 100% Blue Agave Reposado sipping tequila, is the first tequila rested exclusively in Mizunara casks, a rare oak native to Japan and traditionally used for aging Japanese whiskies. Casa Dragones’ mission is to be part of the tequila producers shaping the industry for the future through innovation, modern, sustainable production and Mexican craftsmanship. The name Casa Dragones is inspired by the legendary Dragones cavalry who ignited Mexico’s Independence Movement of 1810. La Casa Dragones in San Miguel de Allende is the historic 17th century stables of the cavalry, now transformed into a luxurious four-bedroom home and showcase of Mexican design. San Miguel de Allende, Casa Dragones’ spiritual home, is also home to Casa Dragones Tasting Room, also known as the “World’s Smallest Tequila Bar.” Casa Dragones is available online at www.casadragones.com and throughout the U.S., Mexico and select markets in Europe.
