Café Americano Opens First East Coast Outposts on Miami Beach's Iconic Ocean Drive & Collins Avenue


V&E Restaurant Group, the group of creators behind some of the most recognized restaurant brands in Miami Beach and Las Vegas, announces the highly-anticipated launch of Café Americano Ocean Drive, now open inside of Miami Beach’s Hotel Victor, which will be followed by Café Americano Collins Avenue opening in February 2021 in the Redbury Miami Beach. The two new locations mark the first time the popular Las Vegas Café Americano brand has opened a restaurant in Florida. V&E’s current restaurants include Havana 1957, Mercato della Pescheria Miami Beach, Mercato della Pescheria Las Vegas, La Cerveceria de Barrio, Oh! Mexico, Marabú, Barseco, Café Americano Las Vegas, Terraza by Café Americano.


An exciting new concept in Miami Beach, Café Americano is an all-day diner, open 24 hours, seven days a week, with an extensive breakfast menu, elaborate cocktail program and late-night menu that will satisfy any craving. Café Americano serves up American breakfast classics and comfort food with a Latin twist for a hearty breakfast, relaxing lunch and indulgent dinner daily. Guests can savor expertly crafted cocktails at the bar, and watch as mixologists create everything from barrel-aged classics to signature drinks. Guests of Cafe Americano Ocean Drive can also enjoy oceanfront terrace dining.


“What goes on in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas,” teases Matias Pesce, CEO of V&E Restaurant Group. “Miami is just as nocturnal as the sin city, LA or New York, and V&E Restaurant Group is excited to elevate not only the late night dining scene but South Beach’s breakfast offerings with two new Café Americano restaurants launching on Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. Whether you’ve got a hankering for a tiramisu waffle, Cuban sandwich, fish n chips, double bacon cheeseburger or kiwi matcha tea bowl, Café Americano has you covered with your favorite comfort food, cocktail or all-day breakfast dish.”


Executive Chef Matthew Fresinski created an incredible new menu for guests to indulge in including South Florida-inspired dishes that are exclusive to the restaurant’s Miami locations such as the Tropical Ceviche ($17), golden corvina and shrimp, tossed with coconut milk, passion fruit, mango, red onion, red pepper, aji amarillo, cilantro, crispy corn, giant corn and sweet potato; and slow Smoked St. Louis Baby Back Ribs (Half Rack $17, Full Rack $24), served in a root beer BBQ sauce with french fries and corn on the cob.


Towering dishes filled with savory favorites include the Seafood Feast ($145), stacked with tropical ceviche, seared Florida lobster tail, whole fried Florida snapper, grilled Madagascar shrimp, clarified butter and Cajun remoulade; The Tower ($55), which comes with spice brined chicken wings, smoked St. Louis baby back ribs, NOLA BBQ shrimp, french fries and onion rings with a guajillo cheese sauce; and the Miami Cowboy Platter ($165) a meat lovers plate filled with prime ribeye steak, smoked St. Louis baby back ribs, thick cut pork belly, andouille sausage, crispy potato wedges and corn on the cob.


The 24/7 diner also offers an extensive New York style pizza menu where guests can create their own pies ($12) with a variety of toppings ($1 each) from jalapenos and pineapple to chorizo and pork belly, or choose from a selection of hand-crafted pizzas such as the Classic New York Cheese ($12) with marinara and mozzarella cheese; Meat Lovers ($15), old world pepperoni, pit ham, smoked bacon, andouille sausage; and Veggie ($14), onion, black olives, tomato, mushrooms, green and red peppers.


Rounding out the menu are signature Café Americano dishes including all day breakfast items such as the All American Breakfast ($16), three eggs any style, choice of meat, house potatoes and choice of toast; Southwest Vegetable Omelet ($17), roasted corn, black beans, peppers, tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese and topped with ranchero salsa; and golden and fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes ($13), served with maple syrup and confectioner’s sugar, guests can add chocolate chips, banana, blueberry, strawberry or nutella ($3/each). Additional breakfast offerings include Huevos Rancheros ($18), crispy corn tortillas, three eggs any style, black beans, chorizo, ranchero salsa, cotija, avocado, cilantro and pico de gallo; Carrot Cake French Toast ($16), carrot cake slices griddled in spiced french toast batter and topped with cream cheese frosting, toasted pecans and maple candied carrots; and Build Your Own Avocado Toast ($13, additional toppings $2/each), made with smashed avocado, arugula, choice of toast and two toppings including grilled asparagus or smoked bleu cheese.


Lunch and dinner items available on the menu include the Cuban Sandwich ($17), slow roasted pork, ham, Swiss, dill pickles and dijon mustard pressed on Cuban bread; Spice Brined Wings (Half Dozen $13, Dozen $20), tossed with classic buffalo sauce and plated with smoked bleu cheese, carrots and celery; Guacamole Quesadilla ($13), fresh guacamole, mozzarella cheese and flour tortillas, diners can add chicken ($4), steak ($5) or shrimp ($8); and a selection of handcrafted Tacos from the menu’s “Taco Shop” ($5/each) ranging from chicken tinga and steak to shrimp and blackened tuna.


Closing out the savory menu choices are late-night dishes that range from the Americano Breakfast Sandwich ($15), fluffy scrambled eggs, ham and fontina, all piled on griddled brioche bread and served with house potatoes to the Classic Burger ($16), topped with green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and dill pickles on a brioche bun, that can be enhanced with cheese ($2), mushrooms ($2), avocado ($3), bacon ($3) or egg ($3).


Diners looking for a unique experience can order from Café Americano’s chef’s tasting menu. Priced at $40, guests can choose two options to enjoy including starter plates such as the She-Crab Soup, crab and sherry cream and lump crab with a butter pressed brioche; and cajun flavored NOLA BBQ Shrimp tossed with guava and black pepper, and served with a charred lemon and butter toasted french bread. Heartier entrees available on the tasting menu include Spicy Shrimp Pasta, tiger shrimp, orecchiette, Calabrian cream, green beans, mushrooms and basil; and Roasted Chicken, brick-pressed half chicken plated with bacon roasted Brussels sprouts, grained mustard and a citrus aioli.

Guests can imbibe on a wide variety of creative cocktails, wine and craft beers around the clock including Fever-Tree mules, martinis and an Insta-worthy Bloody Mary bar. Signature drink favorites include


The Classic Moscow Mule ($13), vodka, Fever-Tree ginger beer and fresh lime juice; and Lychee Martini ($13), E11even Vodka, lychee liqueur and lychee puree. Bloody Mary cocktail aficionados can take on the challenge of building their own version of the famous breakfast refreshment or choose from one of the hand-crafted options on the menu such as the Bloody Marisco ($13), jalapeno and cilantro infused silver tequila, house bloody mary mix, topped with shrimp ceviche and a chili salt rim; and Bloody Mario ($13) Elleven Vodka (basil & tomato infused), house bloody mary mix, caprese skewer and balsamic glaze drizzle.


Café Americano Ocean Drive and Café Americano Collins Avenue is open for breakfast Sunday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.; for lunch, dinner and all-day breakfast Sunday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, Cafe Americano will close at midnight nightly.
