Burberry is spotlighting the history and craftsmanship behind its most recognizable designs, unveiling a heritage-focused campaign that revisits the origins of the brand’s outdoor-ready clothing and accessories.

Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, the British fashion house built its reputation on creating fabric that allowed people to move freely outdoors. That spirit of functionality and exploration continues to shape the label’s modern collections.

Central to the initiative is the Burberry trench coat, described as a cornerstone of the brand for more than a century. The company’s Heritage Trench Coats are made from cotton gabardine and produced in Yorkshire, England, underscoring Burberry’s emphasis on long-standing materials and UK manufacturing. Learn more about the Burberry trench and related collections.

The campaign also highlights the Burberry Check cashmere scarf, produced at a Scottish mill founded in 1797. Positioned as an iconic house code rooted in the brand’s heritage, the scarf reflects Burberry’s continued reliance on traditional textile expertise and UK-based production.
