Original BTC Introduces "Fin King" & "Fin Queen" Bone China Table Lights

Now available, the Fin King and Fin Queen table lights are the latest installments in BTC's celebrated Fin collection. These table lights mark a new direction for the brand, combining their trademark bone china with the addition of a drum shade. A first for Original BTC, the ivory linen shade casts a soft, diffused light, creating beautiful shadows on the intricate base.

Available in King and Queen sizes, the Fin’s base is hand slip-cast in Stoke-on-Trent using a complex eight-piece mold. Liquid clay, or slip, is poured into the mold and allowed to set, then the segments are separated to reveal the ribbed form, ready for firing and glazing. The Fin is finished with lacquered, brushed solid brass details and a signature cotton braided cable in a pale gray, while the shade sits on an angle-able ball and socket to facilitate reading.

Established in 1990, Original BTC designs lighting for both residential and commercial interiors. After Founder Peter Bowles rescued a Stoke-on-Trent bone china factory from closure in 2002, the warm tones and opaque appearance of bone china soon became a signature of Original BTC. The brand continues to use the material extensively to produce new and diverse collections.
