On Sunday, Sept. 20, the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District will present Brunching in the Grove, a neighborhood-wide celebration bringing together the Grove’s restaurants, retailers, cocktails, live entertainment and walkable village atmosphere.

Restaurants, retailers, cocktails and live music come together on Sunday, Sept. 20, as Miami’s Brunch Capital invites visitors to brunch, sip, shop and stroll.

Recognized as Miami’s Brunch Capital, Coconut Grove has built a reputation around leisurely weekend meals that often turn into an entire afternoon in the neighborhood. Brunching in the Grove invites locals and visitors to embrace that experience by making a reservation, dressing for the occasion and staying to shop, sip and explore.

In the two weeks leading up to National Brunch Day, participating Coconut Grove retailers will offer special promotions and incentives designed to help visitors find their perfect brunch look. From fashion and accessories to finishing touches for a Sunday outing, the promotion creates an opportunity to begin the celebration before Sept. 20 arrives.

On National Brunch Day, restaurants throughout Coconut Grove will welcome guests with options ranging from neighborhood favorites to special Miami Spice menus. Restaurants that do not traditionally serve brunch will also join the celebration by offering National Brunch Day cocktails, giving visitors even more places to stop as they make their way through the neighborhood.

The festivities will extend into the streets, with live entertainment planned along McFarlane Road near Santander. The music will add to the energy in the center of the district and create a natural gathering place between brunch reservations, shopping and drinks.

“Coconut Grove has earned its reputation as Miami’s Brunch Capital, but what makes brunch here so special is everything that happens alongside the eating experience,” said Mark Burns, executive director of the Coconut Grove BID. “You can find something to wear, meet friends for an incredible meal, hear music, grab a drink, wander into a shop and suddenly you’ve spent the whole day in the Grove. For National Brunch Day, we wanted to celebrate that entire experience and invite people to make a Sunday of it.”

Brunching in the Grove is part of the Coconut Grove BID’s ongoing effort to connect the district’s businesses through experiences that encourage visitors to discover more of the neighborhood. By bringing together dining, shopping and entertainment, the event offers plenty of reasons to come for brunch and stay for the day.

Visitors are encouraged to make brunch reservations in advance and follow Coconut Grove for announcements about participating restaurants, retailers and special offers.
