Music students from more than 10 local studios will participate in a three-day “Musicthon” at Galleria Fort Lauderdale from January 23 through January 25. The free event will feature public recitals aimed at raising funds for the Broward County Music Teachers Association and 4KIDS of South Florida.

Students of all ages and skill levels will perform throughout the weekend, collecting donations from friends and family in support of their participation. Proceeds from the event will help fund music education initiatives, student scholarships, and community programs while also supporting services for children and families in crisis across South Florida.
The Musicthon has been organized annually by the Broward County Music Teachers Association for more than 20 years as a way to combine performance opportunities with community outreach. This year, the association selected 4KIDS of South Florida as a beneficiary, highlighting the organization’s work in foster care, family support, and trauma-informed services.
Performances will take place on Friday, January 23 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, January 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, January 25 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All recitals will be held inside Galleria Fort Lauderdale and are open to the public.
Donations supporting the Broward County Music Teachers Association can be made by contacting the organization directly. Additional information about the venue and upcoming events is available through the Galleria Fort Lauderdale website.
