The festivities begin at noon with a very merry brunch party in the Mary N. Porter Riverview Ballroom where guests will enjoy a bountiful buffet and themed beverages, whimsical arts and crafts, “frosty” photo ops, magical face painting, a “cool” DJ dance party and much more.

At 2 p.m. the curtain rises in the Amaturo Theater for Slow Burn Theatre Company’s production of Disney’s Frozen, and South Florida audiences will experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film,  the show includes all the film’s beloved songs along with new music written exclusively for the stage. Disney’s Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance and finding the real meaning of true love. Filled with spectacular special effects, a lush musical score, stunning sets and costumes and powerhouse performances, it is the quintessential musical. It’s moving. It’s spectacular. And above all, it’s pure joy. Music and lyrics are by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, with a book by Jennifer Lee. The musical is based on the Disney film written by Jennifer Lee and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. The original Broadway production of “Frozen” was directed by Michael Grandage and produced by Disney Theatrical Productions. Performances at the Broward Center run through December 28. The Broward Center 2025/2026 season is supported by the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, Spirit and Nicklaus Children’s Health System.

For nearly 40 years, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation has been instrumental in providing support for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Foundation was established in 1985 to deliver the required private funding to build the Center and create an endowment to sustain its operations. Over the years, the Foundation has successfully raised funds to support the Broward Center’s innovative and diverse programming, arts-in-education initiatives, community engagement activities and capital projects. In 2021, the Foundation completed a $30 million capital campaign to renovate and restore the iconic Parker Playhouse. Prior to this, it raised $60 million to complete the Encore! capital campaign to renovate, renew and revitalize the Broward Center.
