If you have been dreaming of a coastal escape without leaving South Florida, your next favorite spot has officially arrived. The Break House Kitchen + Bar has opened its doors in Deerfield Beach, bringing a fresh wave of oceanfront dining, rooftop cocktails and all-day beachside vibes.
Conceived by Danielle Rosse, the visionary behind Oceans 234, The Break House offers something for every type of beach goer. Whether you are grabbing a quick coffee before a morning stroll, indulging in a leisurely lunch or catching the sunset with a cocktail in hand, this two-story, 4,283-square-foot destination is designed for connection, comfort and, of course, great food.

Three Ways To ‘Break’ Away
The Break House introduces three distinct dining experiences under one roof:
Grab-and-Go Café: Perfect for those dashing from the pier or the beach.
Counter-Service Restaurant: Sit down and enjoy chef-driven, modern coastal dishes.
Rooftop Bar: Deerfield Beach’s first-ever rooftop bar, serving drinks with panoramic Atlantic Ocean views.
Inside, the design is a mix of relaxed coastal elegance and artistic flair. Bright, colorful carvings by Alex Yanis adorn the exterior, while inside, lofty ceilings, wood geometric light pendants and deep navy-and-neutral tones create a polished, breezy atmosphere. Upstairs, the rooftop bar embraces sunbaked wood and terra-cotta hues, inviting guests to unwind while taking in stunning ocean vistas.

Chef-Driven Coastal Cuisine
Award-winning Chef Dean Max helms the kitchen, curating a menu that blends light, fresh and locally inspired dishes with bold seasonal flavors. Breakfast kicks off at 7:00 a.m. with items like the Banana Bliss Toast or the hearty Burrito on a Break. Come midday, the All-Day Menu offers creative “BeachBites,” fresh salads, globally inspired sandwiches and flavorful bowls, plus options for kids in the “Beach Bums Kids” menu.
Upstairs, the rooftop bar pairs these dishes with signature cocktails and mocktails, from the tropical Beach Lychee to the refreshing Aquamarine. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, featuring discounted wine, cocktails, mocktails and beers.

Community at the Core
Rosse emphasizes that The Break House isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a community hub. “Every decision—from the design to the menu—was made with our city and its residents in mind,” she says. With a semiprivate dining room, catering options and upcoming events like Wine Wednesdays, it’s clear The Break House aims to be a cornerstone of Deerfield Beach’s evolving culinary scene.
The Break House Kitchen + Beach Bar is located at 202 NE 21st Ave., Deerfield Beach, just steps from the Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier. The downstairs dining area is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the rooftop bar is open from noon to 11:00 p.m., making it the ultimate destination for sips and bites.
Locals and visitors alike now have a go-to spot for sunrise coffee, sunset cocktails and everything in between, all with your toes in the sand and the Atlantic breeze in your hair.
