Last week, the BrazilFoundation celebrated its 25th anniversary with a dazzling black-tie gala at the iconic Plaza Hotel, drawing over 400 guests, including philanthropists, artists, and cultural leaders. The glamorous evening highlighted the foundation’s decades-long commitment to empowering communities across Brazil.

Adding a surprise twist, Lenny Kravitz contributed to the charity auction with a weekend at his legendary farm in Duas Barras, Rio de Janeiro. The auction also featured vibrant Kobra artworks, exclusive backstage experiences with The Weeknd and Shakira, and a night in David Beckham’s Inter Miami box with signed jerseys, delighting attendees and boosting fundraising efforts.

Honorees included Leona Forman, the foundation’s founder, along with Geyze Diniz, Seu Jorge, and the grassroots organization Filha do Sol, all recognized for their dedication to social impact. The event raised an impressive $1 million, adding to BrazilFoundation’s legacy of supporting over 1,000 social initiatives in its 25-year history.

The gala also marked the launch of the “Can Art Change the World” Fund, designed to support Casa Amarela Providência, a free cultural and educational hub in Rio de Janeiro. This new initiative aims to combine artistic expression with education, providing children and young people in underserved communities with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

With its mix of celebrity flair, high-profile auctions, and a strong focus on social change, the BrazilFoundation gala underscored the power of art, philanthropy, and community in transforming lives across Brazil.
