Following its acclaimed debut, British multidisciplinary artist. Jon-Paul Wheatley's monumental "Badly Drawn Ball" sculpture arrives at Bal Harbour Village Beach from July 1–27. Inspired by imperfect hand-drawn soccer ball sketches submitted from around the world, the larger-than-life installation reimagines the soccer ball as a contemporary cultural object, exploring the intersection of sport, craftsmanship, and contemporary art.
Presented as part of Bal Harbour Village's 80th anniversary celebration, the beachfront installation invites visitors to experience public art against one of South Florida's most iconic oceanfront settings during the global soccer season.
