Barbra Streisand is back with a deeply personal new album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, set for release on June 27, 2025. A follow-up to her 2014 chart-topping Partners album, this new collection of duets brings together a mix of legendary voices and rising stars—people Streisand says inspired her in the studio and brought fresh energy to each track.

Featuring collaborations with Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Sting, Hozier, Sam Smith, Seal, Josh Groban, Tim McGraw, and Laufey, the album blends generations and genres. A special highlight: Streisand joins Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande for a powerful trio performance.
“I’ve always loved singing duets with gifted artists,” Streisand shared. “They inspire me in different ways and make the time in the studio joyful. This album gave me the chance to work with old friends, new voices, and people I’ve long admired.”
The album’s title was inspired by a candid moment—a photo of Streisand smiling while watching her granddaughters play, taken by her daughter-in-law Kathryn Boyd Brolin. It captures what Streisand calls “the secret of life”—those small, joyful moments with the people you love.
The first single, a duet with Hozier on “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” is out now. Hozier called the opportunity “a huge honor,” and dedicated the song in part to the late Roberta Flack, whose version of the track made it famous.
Produced by Grammy winners Walter Afanasieff and Peter Asher, with orchestrations recorded in California and at Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra, the album is a true passion project—personal, heartfelt, and timeless.
