Bal Harbour Shops Transforms into Pink Park for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Bal Harbour Shops will transform into "Pink Park" from October 1 through October 30 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The open-air luxury retail destination will feature a sculptural, pop-art-inspired reinterpretation of urban park life installed across the iconic Center Courtyard and extending through the property's pathways. The installation repurposes everyday park elements—including benches, café tables, and fountains—into an immersive pink landscape designed to highlight women's health and well-being.
The month-long initiative incorporates interactive public programming alongside the visual installation. Every Wednesday throughout October, the West Shops will host "Mahjong in the Park," featuring complimentary open play at signature pink tables. The weekly sessions cater to both experienced players and beginners, with select dates offering guided instruction and hosted games. The series concludes with a formal Mahjong tournament on October 28, with reservations recommended for participants.
Additionally, the property will host "Love Notes, Written in Pink," featuring a dedicated pink writing station and mailbox. Visitors are invited to compose messages of hope, encouragement, and remembrance, which will be collected in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The combined installation and programming schedule aims to engage the community while benefiting breast cancer research initiatives.
