This October, Bal Harbour Shops will “go pink” in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, featuring immersive art, lighting, and community programming designed to raise awareness and funds for lifesaving research.

As the centerpiece of the initiative, celebrated landscape artist Lily Kwong returns to Bal Harbour Shops to reimagine her Moongates installation, first unveiled in 2019. Six sweeping landscape archways adorned with cascading pink orchids will transform the open-air courtyard, offering a symbol of beauty, resilience, and hope. Drawing from traditional Chinese garden design, Kwong’s Moongates create reflective portals into new realms of serenity, while honoring the fight against breast cancer.
Beyond the installation, Bal Harbour Shops will illuminate key areas in pink, convert signature orchid displays to all-pink blooms, and collaborate with Bal Harbour Village to light up Collins Avenue. The Shops will also turn its logo pink, and staff including security and valet will don pink uniforms throughout the month, ensuring the initiative touches every part of the guest experience.

Visitors are invited to explore these vibrant, meaningful displays and participate in programming that highlights solidarity, reflection, and support for breast cancer research throughout October.
