Art Basel’s Podcast Series Intersections Returns in Full Force
Committed to enhancing its year-round cultural programming, Art Basel launches the second season of its podcast Intersections. The bi-weekly show will bring together world-class creatives and thought-leaders across disciplines, including art, fashion, design, music, and more.
Intersections: The Art Basel Podcast is presented by UBS and hosted by Marc Spiegler, Global Director of Art Basel. Listeners will be able to download each episode free of charge and access behind-the-scenes stories from celebrated creatives as well as candid conversations on the state of arts today.
Intersections: The Art Basel Podcast is one of the latest additions to Art Basel’s editorial platform Stories, whose ambition is to engage audiences throughout the year providing interviews with artists and cultural figures, articles by leading authors, original video, and in-depth art market analysis.
The Season 2 series will kick off on Tuesday, June 28 with South Korean boy band BTS’s leader, Kim Nam-joon (RM). The pop star will discuss his relationship with art and his passion for collecting. The episode will be accompanied by a special NFT-focused episode with Olive Allen (artist), Christiana Ine-Kimba Boyle (Director of Online Sales at Pace Gallery), and Melissa Gilmour (Global NFT Director of Rosie Labs).
On occasion, the bi-weekly scheduled program will be interrupted by special releases centered around major art world topics; from NFTs and the latest advancement in the digital space, to The Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report, expanding on this year’s finding and the latest updates on the art market economy.
‘We are thrilled to launch the second season of Intersections with such a global line-up of interviewees, people who truly stand at the forefront of contemporary culture,’ says Marc Spiegler, Global Director, Art Basel. ‘Once again, the podcast extends beyond the visual arts to explore the broader creative landscape – from music and architecture to fashion and design – reflecting Art Basel’s position as a platform for compelling cultural exchanges.’
