Art Basel has appointed artist Trevor Paglen as curator of Zero 10 for the fair’s inaugural Swiss edition, working alongside digital art strategist Eli Scheinman under the anchor theme “The Condition.”

Now in its third edition, Zero 10 is Art Basel’s global initiative dedicated to art of the digital era and will make its debut at the flagship Basel fair in an expanded open format featuring its largest presentation to date. Twenty exhibitors will present artists working at the forefront of digital practices, including DEAFBEEF, John Gerrard, Andreas Gursky, Aziza Kadyri, Avery Singer and Hito Steyerl.

Participating exhibitors range from long-standing Art Basel galleries such as Hauser & Wirth, Marian Goodman, Andrew Kreps, Esther Schipper and Spruth Magers to exhibitors with dedicated digital art programs including Asprey Studio and Fellowship, alongside the first-time participation of Basel-based research institution HEK (Haus der Elektronischen Künste, House of Electronic Arts).

Zero 10 underscores Art Basel’s ongoing focus on artistic practices shaped by digital culture and their growing relevance to contemporary art. The program will be located in the Event Hall on Messeplatz, next to Art Basel Conversations, and will be freely accessible to the public during Art Basel 2026 from June 17 to 21, with a preview day on June 16.

Further details about Zero 10 and the Basel fair are available on Art Basel’s website.
