Aquagene Spa Reopens at Pink Shell Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach
Aquagene Spa reopened at Pink Shell Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach on May 18, 2026, following a complete rebuild after Hurricane Ian. The redesigned spa offers massage and facial treatments, updated interiors, and access to several resort amenities.

The spa was rebuilt from the ground up following the 2022 hurricane. Designed by Paula Boykin, the interiors feature blush pink, warm cream, and touches of yellow inspired by the surrounding Gulf Coast. Wave-patterned wallpaper, natural light, and waterfront views complement the spa’s treatment and relaxation areas.
Among the signature treatments are the Salt Stone Ritual Massage, featuring mineral-rich bodywork, and the Deep Sea Renewal Facial, a skincare treatment inspired by the ocean. Aquagene also uses OSEA, a seaweed-based skincare brand known for its focus on natural ingredients and sustainability.

Guests can enjoy additional amenities, including a sauna, complimentary welcome drinks, and valet parking. Any spa purchase also includes access to the resort’s three pools, allowing visitors to extend their spa appointment into a full day at Pink Shell.
The reopening marks another step in the resort’s recovery following Hurricane Ian. For Pink Shell President Bill Waichulis, the project carries particular significance.
“The opening of Aquagene is incredibly meaningful for our team and our community,” Waichulis said. “After the challenges we’ve faced, this spa represents renewal, resilience, and our continued commitment to providing guests with a space to relax, restore, and truly feel cared for.”
Located between the Gulf of Mexico and Matanzas Pass, Aquagene Spa welcomes both resort guests and visitors seeking a spa experience on Fort Myers Beach.
