Ann Storck Center Highlights Summer Programs and Community Events for 2026

The organization recently hosted the ASC Art Show, featuring a year of artwork and music created by participants in the ASC Expressive Arts Program and the Victory Living Program. Funded by the Taft Foundation, the program is led by art and music specialists Greer and Lyndall and is designed to give individuals of all ages and abilities opportunities to express themselves through creative work.
In June, the 40th Annual All Heart Volleyball Challenge brought more than 130 players to the beach to raise support for Ann Storck Center’s services. Over four decades, the event has grown into a reunion for families, friends, and supporters who gather each year to champion people with developmental disabilities, and this year’s tournament included media coverage from WPLG Local 10.
Youth programming is also a focus this season. The MOST (Maximizing Out of School Time) Summer Camp, funded by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County, is offering hands-on STEM activities built around a culinary theme that covers topics such as food safety, nutrition, and menu planning. In addition, the Fort Lauderdale Debutantes participated in a sensitivity training session led by the center’s therapy team, where they used simulations to better understand visual impairments, muscle contractures, and challenges with everyday tasks like eating and walking.
Looking ahead, Ann Storck Center is preparing the Annual Arlene Lakin Educational Seminar on September 17, 2026, which will focus on educational resources and services for the disability community, and a December 8, 2026 resident sing-along that will bring together residents, families, and supporters for a holiday program at the Fort Lauderdale campus.
