The 'I Dream a World Festival' kicks off later this month, heralding the return of Davóne Tines, the era-defining artist receiving worldwide acclaim for his powerful voice and song cycles.
The festival begins on February 18 with a glamorous, salon-style evening of poetry and song with Davóne Tines and Kristin Renee Young. Sit back, drink in hand, and find yourself transported to the literary parties frequented by Langston Hughes. Tickets start at $100. Don’t wait! Less than 50 seats are left.
An encore, all-ages performance will be held the following night at The Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater. Tickets start at $10.
At the heart of this year’s festival is ANTHE, Mon February 21 + 22. Hear Davóne Tines and the FMU Ambassador Chorale find joy hope, and unity in "Lift Every Voice and Sing,"the Florida-forged hymn that’s come to be known as the Black National Anthem. Tickets start at $25.
