American Airlines Launches First-Ever Nonstop Miami to Bimini Flights Starting February 2026

ree

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism announces the launch of the first nonstop U.S. flight to Bimini via American Airlines, starting February 14, 2026. The new service will operate three times weekly between Miami International Airport (MIA) and South Bimini Airport (BIM) using an Embraer 175 aircraft.

This milestone enhances access to Bimini, known as The Gateway to The Bahamas, and supports the government’s investment in airport upgrades, including an $80 million expansion of South Bimini International Airport. The improvements aim to modernize facilities and accommodate increased commercial flights as part of the broader Out Islands Renaissance Project.
