Luxury fashion house Alaïa has officially opened its first boutique in Miami, located within the city's vibrant Design District. The new retail space merges architecture, design, and apparel to reflect the core aesthetic values of the Maison.

Designed in collaboration with Swedish architecture studio Halleroed, a longtime creative partner of the house, the boutique reinterprets Miami’s historic Art Deco heritage through Alaïa’s distinct design language. The architecture features clean lines, curved geometries, and organic forms that establish a precise yet sensual atmosphere.
Pink mosaic tiles envelop the entire structure, extending across the floors, walls, and the exterior façade. On the ground floor, this tiled surface transitions from the ceiling into a suspended lantern structure over the seating area. The mosaic façade is punctuated by a large circular opening integrated with a living botanical installation by French botanist Patrick Blanc, allowing climbing vegetation to animate the building's exterior. Blanc, who has a long history of creating green installations for Alaïa flagships and private residences, tailored this living composition to complement Miami's lush environment.
The retail layout organizes the Alaïa collections across a succession of distinct spaces. Circular rooms on the ground floor are dedicated to footwear, while the more private upper level showcases ready-to-wear collections. The upper floor utilizes mirrored folding screens to alter light and perspectives. Throughout the interior, a palette of black leather, metal, and glass acts as a graphic counterpoint to the pastel pink mosaic surfaces.
Interior designer Martin Brûlé curated the boutique’s furniture selection, sourcing a mix of rare 20th-century and contemporary design pieces. The interior includes Reinhard Müller’s Chambre à Air shelving unit, François Arnal's Formule 1 lounge chair, and seating designs by Philippe Starck, Vladimir Kagan, Tom Dixon, and Gerard Kuijpers. Philippe Malouin’s Mollo sofa—originally introduced during Alaïa’s Winter/Spring 2024 runway show—is featured alongside Ron Arad's Konx table and bespoke tables from Martin Brûlé studio. Each selected object mirrors the sculptural tension between organic curves and sharp architectural lines that defines the brand.
