Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is kicking off a summer of bug-sized fun with evening programming for "Bugging Out: A Bug's World but BIGGER!" The after-dark events include Family Movie Night & Twilight Bug Safari on August 9 and August 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This isn't your typical movie night. Picture this: glowing robotic insect sculptures lighting up the garden, kids chasing bubbles at a "Dance Dash," butterflies fluttering in moonlight, and families sprawled on the lawn watching movies under the stars.
Here's what's buzzing on these special nights:
Twilight Bug Safari – Guided exploration of nocturnal insect behavior in the garden after dark
Wings of the Tropics Exhibit – Open during evening hours with rare opportunity to observe nocturnal butterfly behavior among hundreds of species, including iridescent Blue Morpho butterflies
Bubble Bash Dance Dash – Interactive bubbles, beats, and all-ages dancing fun
Big Bug Cinema – Outdoor movie screenings:
"A Bug's Life" (G) on August 9
"James and the Giant Peach" (PG) on August 30
These evening events transform the garden into an illuminated wonderland, offering families new ways to experience the insect-themed showcase during fun summer nights.
