Adriana Hoyos Furnishings Debuts New LUA Collection
Luxury international furniture and design brand Adriana Hoyos has announced the highly-anticipated launch of its newest collection, LUA, featuring 21 celestially crafted pieces characterized by curved organic shapes and modern design that reflects the fashion industry’s quiet luxury trend, which is synonymous with understated elegance, timeless appeal, and high-quality craftsmanship. LUA is the 14th collection from the global designer atelier.
The collection, which means “moon” in Portuguese, is inspired by the energy, textures, silhouettes and colors embodied by the phases of the moon. Marked by unique shapes and contours with distinct, eye-catching design moments, LUA’s subtly elegant pieces are designed to appear as if they are floating with curved organic forms inspired by the full, half and crescent moon phases. Likewise, the collection’s Lunar Stone and Lava Granite finishes resemble rock-like craters, while colors are warm and pay homage to the ombre shades of the sky as the moon is rising.
“LUA is one of my most meaningful collections to date because it was a labor of love between my daughter and me. We knew we wanted to create something that embraced the beauty of the nature that surrounds us, has the power to transform us and the way we live positively,” said Adriana Hoyos, co-founder and creative director. “We studied how our ancestors connected with the moon and found everything we wanted to convey in our collection - the textures, colors, comfort and energy.”
Every piece of the LUA collection, including sofas, loveseats, upholstered chairs, ottomans, daybeds, coffee tables, end tables, consoles and dining chairs, is carefully created from forest to floor and inception to production by the expertly skilled craftsman and artisans behind ADRIANA HOYOS’ vertically integrated design company.
