Action, Adventure and Lots of Fun in Ibiza: Red Bull Ibiza Royale Registration Now Open

Fitness enthusiasts, adventure seekers, weekend warriors, university students: the great challenge of 2025 has arrived. The Red Bull Ibiza Royale is looking for teams from all over the world and Portugal has a place on the starting line!

Strength, speed, agility, endurance, determination and the ability to react are some of the characteristics needed to take part in an unprecedented challenge that brings together sport, adventure and lots of fun on an iconic island.

This innovative obstacle race is scheduled for April 11 to 14, with all the action centered on the island of Ibiza. Registration is open until March 14 at their website. All you need to do to take part is be over 18 and find the ideal partner for this adventure (mixed teams). This will be followed by a first test with a game that will mainly assess your ability to react (which can be done online or in person). Once they have passed this stage, the candidates must send a 60-second video in English explaining why they should be chosen. Olympic surfer Teresa Bonvalot and roller field hockey athlete Hélder Nunes are the Portuguese ambassadors for the competition and will be actively involved in preparing the national team.

A total of 250 teams from 50 countries on five continents will be selected to be judged on their time and creativity in carrying out the proposed challenges. The route of the Red Bull Ibiza Royale will remain secret until March 28, but it is certain that it will be approximately 1.4 kilometers long and have a gradient of 90 meters. Each obstacle has been created by a renowned international athlete, such as snowboarder Seb Toots or obstacle course specialist (OCR) Mathilde Steensgaard.

Once they arrive on the island of Ibiza, the teams will be screened and only the best will go through to the Grand Final. The fastest and most creative to overcome all the obstacles and conquer the castle will be crowned winners.
