Introducing the BRABUS AB 110: A New Era of High-Performance Yachting

AB Yachts, brand of Next Yacht Group, and BRABUS introduce a 110-foot luxury yacht combining Italian marine engineering, German automotive design and a top speed of 48 knots.

First unveiled at the recent Monaco Yacht Show 2026, the 110-foot (33.7-meter) unit is the result of a collaboration between shipbuilder AB Yachts and luxury detailing specialist BRABUS. The yacht combines high-speed marine engineering with design elements inspired by BRABUS performance cars.

The partnership introduces three models: the BRABUS AB95, BRABUS AB110 and BRABUS AB150. The latter is scheduled to debut next year at the Monaco Yacht Show, coinciding with BRABUS' 50th anniversary.

Performance

One of the AB110's defining characteristics is its speed. The yacht is powered by three MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines, each producing 2,600 horsepower, for a combined output of 7,800 horsepower.

Rather than conventional propellers, the yacht uses a waterjet propulsion system consisting of two steerable waterjets and a central booster. Waterjets generate thrust by drawing in water and expelling it at high velocity. This configuration provides responsive maneuvering and is particularly useful for high-performance vessels operating at elevated speeds.

The AB110 reaches a maximum speed of 48 knots (approximately 55 mph or 89 km/h). Its cruising speed is 41 knots, with a reported range of approximately 370 nautical miles at that speed. A gyroscopic stabilization system helps reduce rolling motion both while cruising and when the yacht is stationary.

The hull and superstructure are constructed from composite materials, which help reduce overall weight while maintaining structural strength.

Giorgio Mattei, Deputy Chairman of Next Yacht Group, explained the engineering and design partnership: "AB Yachts has always challenged conventional ideas of what a high-performance yacht can be, and working with BRABUS has allowed us to interpret that DNA through a distinctive new lens."

Exterior Design

The AB110 incorporates several elements associated with BRABUS' automotive designs, including exposed carbon fiber, distinctive red accents and an illuminated roof spoiler.

Carbon-fiber components appear around the front wings, engine air outlets and exterior detailing. LED lighting integrated into the forward superstructure adds another recognizable feature.

The yacht is arranged across three levels: the lower deck, main deck and sun deck.

At the bow, a large sunpad and separate seating area provide space for outdoor relaxation. Another seating area is positioned toward the stern, closer to the water.

The upper sun deck serves as both an entertainment area and a secondary helm station. It includes two large sunpads, seating on both sides, carbon-fiber tables and integrated storage compartments.

An interesting technical detail is the retractable helm system. The secondary controls, designed primarily for harbor maneuvering, are concealed within a starboard-side storage unit when not in use. This allows the space to function as a social deck without permanently exposed navigation equipment.

Interiors

Inside, the AB110 draws inspiration from BRABUS' Masterpiece automotive interiors, incorporating leather upholstery, custom detailing and the brand's characteristic triangular quilting.

The main deck features a central lounge with two large sofas and an adjacent dining area accommodating eight people. The helm station integrates navigation, vessel management and entertainment controls, along with a custom BRABUS steering wheel and leather driver's seat.

The lower deck accommodates up to ten guests across four cabins, including an owner's suite, a VIP cabin and two additional guest cabins. Each has its own bathroom, while the owner's accommodation also includes a dedicated closet area.

Separate crew facilities include two cabins accommodating four crew members, a crew dining area and the galley. This arrangement helps separate guest accommodations from the yacht's operational spaces.

Constantin Buschmann, CEO and owner of BRABUS, commented on the company's expansion into yacht development: "Together with AB Yachts, we are taking our marine portfolio into an entirely new dimension – combining their engineering expertise with our signature approach to performance and detail-driven design."

Beach Club

One of the yacht's more practical features is its convertible stern garage, which accommodates a jet tender and a full-sized, three-seat jet ski. Additional storage is available for paddleboards, snorkeling equipment, life jackets and other watersports accessories.

An integrated winch and roller system assists the crew in launching and retrieving larger equipment. Once the tender and jet ski are deployed, the aft section transforms into a sea-level beach club and lounge, providing direct water access and additional outdoor space while anchored.

Specifications

The BRABUS AB110 measures 33.70 meters (110.7 feet) in length, with a beam of 6.80 meters (22.4 feet) and a shallow draft of 1.30 meters (4.3 feet), allowing access to certain coastal areas and anchorages. Fuel capacity is 11,500 liters (3,038 gallons), with an additional 2,000 liters (528 gallons) of freshwater storage. Three MTU diesel engines deliver a combined 7,800 horsepower through a waterjet propulsion system, reaching a maximum speed of 48 knots and a cruising speed of 41 knots. Its reported range is 370 nautical miles at cruising speed. The yacht accommodates up to ten guests in four cabins, supported by four crew members in two cabins, and is specified for RINA classification and unrestricted pleasure navigation.

More on AB Yachts

Founded in 1992, AB Yachts is an Italian yachtbuilder specializing in high-performance motor yachts. Now part of Next Yacht Group, the company develops vessels using lightweight composite construction, optimized hull designs, waterjet propulsion and electronic trim-control technology. Its existing yacht range extends from the AB80 to the AB130, with certain models capable of speeds approaching 60 knots. The BRABUS collaboration, introduced in 2026, expands its portfolio with three jointly developed models.

Deputy Chairman Giorgio Mattei described the collaboration's longer-term direction: "What we have just presented in Monaco is not simply one yacht, but the beginning of a range and of a collaboration that we believe has significant potential for the future."
