A Season to Shine: Ocean Drive Debuts New Holiday Programming with Art, Music & Family Fun

This winter, Ocean Drive isn’t just glowing, it’s transforming into Miami Beach’s most festive cultural playground.
From December 1, 2025, through the end of January, the Ocean Drive Association invites you to visit Miami’s most iconic palm-lined drive. Ocean Drive will debut an elevated holiday lineup designed to blend immersive art, live performances, family-friendly festivities and fun for all ages.

Add twinkling lights, projection-mapped architecture and a calendar full of can’t-miss cultural programming and you have a holiday season that feels equal parts glamorous, meaningful and unforgettable.
Ocean Drive will also be offering free, on-demand transportation throughout the month of December, making it seamless for families, travelers and holiday explorers to move between installations, performances and art events without the stress of parking.
Whether you’re local, spending the season in Miami, or simply looking for a reason to escape winter elsewhere, Ocean Drive just became your must-visit destination.

The Highlights:
Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights (December 13–14 & 20–21)
Presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival, the annual Holiday Festival of Lights returns with full orchestral performances, beloved holiday characters and mesmerizing projection mapping that turns buildings into animated canvases.
Grab a spot outside The Betsy (1440 Ocean Drive) and stay for the holiday drone show—one of this season’s most picturesque moments.
City of Miami Beach Extravaganza (December 13)
At Lummus Park at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., synchronized drones will paint illuminated patterns across the sky—Miami’s modern, beachside answer to fireworks. This family-friendly evening bridges innovation and celebration, creating a show you can’t replicate anywhere else.
Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series (Every Sunday in December)
Pack a picnic blanket or enjoy the show from a nearby local restaurant, and settle in for an enchanting concert staged on the lawn at Lummus Park. With award-winning musicians performing under palm trees and with ocean breezes.
No Vacancy, Miami Beach - Public Art Projects (Through December 20)
The City of Miami Beach, with the support of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) present No Vacancy, Miami Beach, a juried contemporary art program transforming hotel lobbies and public spaces into walkable galleries. From sculptural installations to conceptual works, No Vacancy blends hospitality with artistry. Featured works include “A Soft Pixelation” by Andrea Myers at Avalon Hotel Miami (700 Ocean Drive) and “Portal to Niña” by LIZN’BOW at The Betsy (1440 Ocean Drive), along with many others around the city.
The Betsy Orb Installation (Through December 31)
One of Ocean Drive’s most striking public artworks, an egg-shaped architectural sculpture that bridges The Betsy’s two buildings—creating an illuminated landmark that feels tailor-made for the holidays.
100 Years of Art Deco: A World Celebration in Miami Beach (Through January 31, 2026)
Hosted outdoors at Galeria Ocean Drive, this exhibit traces the global reach of the art deco design movement while highlighting Miami Beach’s signature tropical deco style. Featuring more than 100 images from around the world, the installation offers a visual journey through the evolution of art deco architecture and aesthetics. The exhibition also includes community-led cultural events celebrating the enduring art deco spirit.
New Year's Eve Fireworks (December 31)
Ring in the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display over Lummus Park. Countdown to 2026 and enjoy the show from one of the many al fresco cafes on Ocean Drive.
New Year's Day Orchestra Concert (January 1, 2026)
To celebrate the new year, City of Miami Beach presents a free orchestra concert performed by Miami Beach Classical Music Festival at Lummus Park on 11th street on New Year’s Day at 6 p.m.
SCOPE Art Show (December 2-7)
Recognized worldwide as a leading platform for emerging contemporary art, SCOPE brings together more than 90 exhibitors from over 20 countries, spotlighting bold new voices and genre-defining work to Lummus Park.
Untitled Art (December 3-7)
Curated, intentional and globally respected, Untitled Art brings together over 170 international galleries, nonprofits, and artist-run spaces to Lummus Park. Beyond exhibiting contemporary and modern works across nearly every medium, the fair prioritizes accessibility, dialogue and diversity—making it a destination for collectors seeking substance, integrity,and artistic storytelling.
