A Glimpse into Schoelkopf Gallery's Selection of Artists for Art Basel Miami Beach 2023
Schoelkopf Gallery is pleased to present a selection of exceptional paintings and works on paper by twentieth-century American artists including Milton Avery, Charles Burchfield, Oscar Bluemner, Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove, Richard Estes, John Marin, Georgia O’Keeffe, Arthur B. Carles, Elie Nadelman, Felrath Hines, Joseph Stella, and Elizabeth Catlett.
These artists reinvented conventional genres such as landscape and still life through new lenses, developing singular modes of expression within and alongside important twentieth-century movements including Cubism, Futurism, Precisionism, Abstract Expressionism, Color Field Painting, and Photorealism.
Spanning the twentieth century, Schoelkopf Gallery’s curated presentation investigates the experiments with new materials and methods with which artists across America engaged as they responded to rapidly evolving events and experiences.
