Miami is known throughout the world as a magical city, famous for its unique and exciting combination of modern architecture, relaxed coastal atmosphere, and, of course, a fiery mix of Latin and American cultures.

I won't go into detail about what makes Miami's beaches famous and why you should visit. Just read my top 10 reasons, and you'll understand everything yourself.

1. TOP-NOTCH SANDY BEACHES

There are only a few beaches on our planet that can compete with the sandy shores of Miami. Kilometres of pristine coastline offer us all kinds of recreation: beach volleyball, outdoor fitness classes and, of course, the most delightful terraces for sunbathing. Here you will find the beach of your dreams.

In Miami, no one wastes time: people either enjoy the views of the South Beach, or cut through the hot coastal air, speeding along Ocean Drive on longboards, or dive into the refreshing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. In other words, whatever you dream of, it will come true on the luxurious beaches of Miami.

2. LATIN AMERICAN CUISINE – A GASTRONOMIC PARADISE

In Miami, people enjoy life 24 hours a day. You can't leave without trying the exquisite dishes of Latin American cuisine, Cuban cocktails and real Cuban coffee. The unique feature of this city is that in one place you can try traditional dishes from different parts of the Caribbean and all of Latin America.

Dishes that you thought you knew well will surprise you with their diversity — each nationality has its own secret ingredient or special way of cooking. For example, empanadas, local meat pies, differ significantly in Colombian, Ecuadorian, Argentinean, and Puerto Rican restaurants.

3. MIAMI – THE KING OF PARTIES

Like everything else in this city, the nightlife here is exceptionally vibrant and memorable, as befits Latin American fiestas, but still has its own American flavour. South Beach is particularly famous here – from sunset to sunrise, the most famous clubs on the planet throw parties with the best DJ sets that are impossible not to dance to. Traditional Cuban music can be found in bars throughout the city, and you won't have to go far to find one... or ten. Midtown or Wynwood is the world of fashionable and hipster hangouts, while Downtown is home to the oldest bars.

4. THE SUN SHINES ALL YEAR ROUND

Life in Miami is sustained by the sun. You won't need a down jacket here, and even better, you'll forget about sweaters and hoodies. Miami enjoys hot weather almost all year round, which means you can frolic on the beach every day. But one day you'll need a raincoat to see a real tropical storm that sweeps across Florida during hurricane season (June to November). And even at times like these, the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees.

5. WILD AND BEAUTIFUL NATURE

Miami is located between two national parks — it is the only city in the United States that can boast such a location. To the west, you will find the Everglades — vast expanses of swampy subtropical land that are ideal for wildlife viewing. This park truly preserves the atmosphere of the wild, home to about 200,000 alligators. The best ways to immerse yourself in the wild world are to travel along Nine Mile Pond and enjoy the breathtaking views from Shark Valley.
