A new listening lounge focused on vinyl culture and cocktails is set to open in Downtown Miami later this month. 400 Vinyl Room will debut on April 25, 2026, on the ninth floor of Gale Miami Hotel & Residences.

The concept comes from the team behind Yamashiro, the long-running Los Angeles restaurant, which recently expanded to Miami. Located next to Yamashiro Miami, the lounge is positioned as a smaller, music-focused space that complements the restaurant’s rooftop dining experience.
The venue draws inspiration from the original 400 Club, a private space within Yamashiro Hollywood that once catered to film industry figures in the 1920s. The new Miami location blends that history with influences from Tokyo’s late-night bar scene, focusing on curated sound and a more controlled atmosphere.

The 50-seat lounge will center its programming on vinyl records, with music selections spanning funk, soul, disco, and 1980s Latin. The schedule will include themed nights and appearances from guest DJs and selectors, with an emphasis on the culture of record listening rather than high-volume nightlife.
The bar program moves away from traditional bottle service. Instead, it focuses on spirit-forward cocktails designed with a measured approach. Drinks such as All Night Long, Smooth Operator, and Saturday Night Fever highlight a mix of classic techniques and contemporary flavors. Champagne will also play a role, offered by the glass or bottle, along with tableside service that includes caviar.

A secondary menu, called Tiny Sips, introduces smaller-format cocktails intended for slower consumption. These drinks are designed to deliver concentrated flavors in reduced portions, offering an alternative way to explore the bar’s offerings.

The space was designed by AMA Designs, with an emphasis on sound and atmosphere. Record shelves line the walls, while lighting and seating arrangements are configured to support the listening experience. The design references 1970s hi-fi culture and Tokyo vinyl bars, with a focus on intimacy and acoustics.

400 Vinyl Room will operate on select evenings and is intended to serve both as a starting point and a continuation of a night out at Yamashiro Miami. The venue is located at 159 NE 6th Street. Reservations are recommended and can be made by emailing reservations@400vinylroom.com. Additional details are available on the official Vinyl Room website or via its Instagram account.
