The Community Foundation of Broward has awarded WLW Catalyst Grants to 27 arts and cultural organizations across Broward County. Funded by Wayne and Lucretia Weiner’s Donor-Advised Fund, the grants—up to $200,000 over two years—will support bold new initiatives, expand reach, and strengthen programs.
Launched in April, the WLW Catalyst Grants received over 100 applications. Recipients include institutions like the Stranahan House, which will create a virtual museum in the Metaverse, and Slow Burn Theatre, which plans to expand its backstage training and launch a costume rental service. Mad Arts will also grow its tech-art education programs for underserved youth.
“These grants will create powerful, long-term cultural impact in our community,” said Community Foundation CEO Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D.
