24th Annual Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Rotary Run for Tomorrow

The Rotary Club of Weston and the City of Weston are gearing up to present the 24th annual Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Rotary Run for Tomorrow and Health & Fitness Festival on Sunday, Dec. 5. Since it was founded, the Rotary Run for Tomorrow has raised over $1 million for charities serving local needs, humanitarian projects in other countries and polio eradication programs through The Rotary Foundation.

The event will include a half marathon, half marathon relay, 10K, 5K, and the Commission Cup 1 Mile Walk. For the Commission Cup 1 Mile Walk, elementary school students throughout Weston and their families are invited to join a one-mile family health walk and help their school win the 2021 Commission Cup Trophy and cash prizes. Participation is free for the Commission Cup Trophy competition. All registered kids will receive a Commission Cup t-shirt.

Following the runs/walk, the Health & Fitness Festival will be open to the public for free with various activities and the opportunity to win prizes. Attendees will be able to visit booths featuring health and wellness products/services, children’s activities, health check-ups and more.

Additionally, attendees are invited to join the Get Fit Challenge by participating in multiple fitness activities throughout the City of Weston from Nov. 6 through the Health & Fitness Festival on Dec. 5. The challenge is to collect one million “Get Fit” minutes. All participants will be entered in the Get Fit Challenge raffle with the grand prize of a PlayStation 5.

“The Rotary Club of Weston is honored to have Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital return as our generous title sponsor for the 2021 Rotary Run for Tomorrow and Commission Cup Challenge,” said Frank Dreier, Rotarian and chairman of the Rotary Run for Tomorrow. “The way the community keeps coming together for this event, year after year, is so rewarding. The sponsors, runners, City of Weston, volunteers and families who turn out to enjoy the day may not realize the difference they’re making by participating in the fun. But I can tell you, it’s huge.”
