2025 HEAT Hispanic Heritage Event

As part of its Hispanic Heritage efforts for the 2025-26 season, the Miami HEAT worked with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Farm Share, Inc. and the Everglades Community Center to surprise up to 300 underserved families of the of the Homestead community. This support consisted of enough fresh produce and non-perishable goods to feed each family household for one-week, on-site activation areas courtesy of Florida Blue, personal health and wellness checks, provided lunch and more. HEAT Legends Glen Rice, Bob McAdoo, HEAT mascot Burnie, and the HEAT Dancers were also in attendance providing support to families in attendance.

This 20^th annual HEAT Hispanic Heritage Celebration brought awareness to the economic conditions, disparities and sacrifices these communities experience by providing wrap-around services and support for a more equally balanced lifestyle.
