Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) Green Family Foundation Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI), in partnership with the TOUT-MONDE Art FOUNDATION (TMAF), will present a multidisciplinary evening examining the growing impact of Sargassum on Caribbean and Florida coastlines. The program brings together artist Henri Tauliaut, FIU food scientist Dr. Imran Ahmad, and curator Vanessa Selk for an evening of film, live performance and conversation exploring how the seaweed influx is reshaping ecosystems, economies and everyday life.

The event builds on an ongoing project originally conceived by artist Louisa Marajo and Selk that has traveled from Martinique to Florida State University and the United Nations Headquarters. The project culminated in the 2025 publication HOMO SARGASSUM, co-edited by Martin Munro and Selk, and seeks new approaches to ecological resilience and coexistence with Sargassum.
