Pan American Art Projects presents Chromophilia, a group exhibition bringing together artists working across painting and sculpture, with a focus on color as a powerful and transformative force.

Inspired by British artist and writer David Batchelor’s 2000 book Chromophobia, the exhibition considers Western culture’s long-standing suspicion of color, historically associated with decoration, emotion, irrationality, and femininity. Chromophilia turns that idea on its head, celebrating artists who embrace color as a central element of contemporary artistic expression.

The exhibition also considers the role of color in an increasingly saturated digital world, where images, information, and identities are constantly filtered and recombined by algorithms. Here, a return to primary color becomes an intentional choice, offering a way to reconnect with the elemental and reclaim individual perception.
