The visual motifs depicted on each lid draw inspiration from specialized jockey jerseys and horse rugs created at the Hermes workshop on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré that operated from the beginning of the 20th century up to the 1960s. Hand-painted onto shiny lacquer.
